Countoo ("we", "our", or "the app") is a sports tracking application for Apple Watch. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Information We Collect

Countoo collects the following data locally on your device:

• Heart rate data during tracked sessions
• Calorie burn estimates during tracked sessions
• Game scores and match results
• Session duration and timestamps

How We Use Your Data

All health and fitness data collected by Countoo is stored locally on your device and in Apple HealthKit. We do not transmit your personal health data to external servers.

Your data is used to:

• Display real-time stats during your sessions
• Show match history and statistics
• Sync with Apple Health when you grant permission

Apple HealthKit

With your permission, Countoo reads and writes data to Apple HealthKit, including heart rate and active energy burned. This data is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy policies and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.

Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We do, however, rely on a small number of service providers who process limited data on our behalf, strictly under our instructions:

• Apple — All subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple is the merchant of record and handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.
• RevenueCat — We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States) to validate App Store receipts, keep your subscription status in sync between your iPhone and Apple Watch, and provide us with aggregated conversion and churn analytics. RevenueCat acts as a data processor under the GDPR, processing data on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement. It receives an anonymous App User ID (generated by the app and not linked to your name or email), your Apple receipt, subscription events (purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund), device type, and OS version. RevenueCat does not receive your HealthKit data, session data, or any directly identifying information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy, DPA, and GDPR page for details.
• Plausible — We use Plausible for website analytics on countoo.com. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.

International Transfers

RevenueCat is based in the United States. When subscription data is transferred to RevenueCat, the transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission, as incorporated into our Data Processing Agreement with RevenueCat.

Data Storage & Security

Your health and session data is stored locally on your Apple Watch and iPhone. If you use iCloud, this data may be included in your device backup according to Apple's privacy practices. We do not operate our own servers that store your health or session data. Subscription state is stored by RevenueCat on our behalf, as described under Third-Party Services.

Your Rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. Because your health and session data stays on your device, you can exercise most of these rights by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in iOS settings. For the subscription data held by RevenueCat on our behalf, you can request deletion by emailing support@countoo.com, and we will action the request with RevenueCat. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Children's Privacy

Countoo does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
